We love Breckenridge in every season, but there is something especially beautiful about fall in the mountains. The crowds of summer have faded, the aspens turn brilliant gold, and there is a quietness in the air that makes this a wonderful time to be in Breckenridge.
Fall Highlights 3 is a little collection of what we are enjoying around town and up on the mountain this fall.
The changing leaves are always one of our favorite parts of the season. A drive through the mountains can turn into an afternoon adventure, with golden aspens everywhere you look.
The weather is also beginning to change. Crisp mornings, warm afternoons and cool evenings are a reminder that winter is just around the corner. Before long, the first snow will cover the mountain and Peak 8 will come alive again.
From our home, we love watching that transition. Fall is the quiet before the winter season begins, and there is something pretty special about being here for it.
